The Czeck Edge Ruler Stop gives almost any size ruler the capability of repeatable, accurate measurement from a fixed edge. The precision machined jaw faces are non-marring and securely grip the ruler with a twist of the knurled brass knob. The crisp jaw sides can be easily lined up with the finest incremental etchings for accurate placement along any ruler. This tool will not entirely replace a high quality square, but may save one from a quick trip to the shop floor.
Besides a rule, the unique design permits the Ruler Stop to clamp tightly to practically anything that can fit between the 1 1/4" maximum jaw width. A shop made straight edge of any length, a story stick or a machine fence can all benefit from the repeatable accuracy the Czeck Edge ruler stop provides. The jaws can also grab round stock to just shy of 1/4" diameter, making a handy depth gauge.
The Ruler Stop jaws and body are machined precisely from aircraft grade aluminum and are 1/2" X 1" wide. The overall tool length is 3 7/8". The 1" width makes measurement tracking easy. The 1/4" diameter steel guide rods are hardened then ground and polished and the screw is stainless steel. To further enhance the grip strength, the screw has been upgraded recently to a massive 12-24 TPI stainless steel unit.
The longish knob stem permits comfortable operation with the thumb and index fingers of either left or right hand meaning that the stop is held knob up, not down as the photos might suggest.. Built for decades of use, this tool will quickly become a shop favorite that craftsman will wonder how they got along without. Proudly made in the USA as are all Czeck Edge tools.
