The Czeck Edge solid carbide Scraper Burnisher features heavy 5/16" in diameter rod and has a convenient 3 1/2" length that is easily managed. They are hardened to RC 90+. (Most card scrapers are in the upper 30 to mid 40 range on the Rockwell C scale.) they will easily turn a very sharp and incredibly smooth burr on the hardest scraper blade.
The exotic Bolivian rosewood handle is a hefty 1 1/4" in diameter and 5" in length. The large contour will promote a very comfortable, secure grip allowing firm, even pressure to draw, then form the burr on a scraper edge. A solid bronze safety ferrule is fitted and the overall length of this tool is about 8".
